As part of the disposition, Dr. Korchinski provided an undertaking to the College. Among the terms of the undertaking was that he would continue to be enrolled in the Saskatchewan Physicians at Risk Program, would authorize regular reports from that program, and would continue with his medical treatment. The penalty imposed by the Council was: 1. a suspension for five months with three months suspended on the condition that he not commit any further acts of unprofessional conduct within the next two years; and, 2. an order that he pay $2,000 towards the costs of the investigation and hearing.
