Last updated: October 7, 2021

General Recommendations for Getting Started

Use a computer – the form has not been optimized for Tablet or Mobile Device use.  The renewal process will be best experienced on a PC or Mac.

Use a personal or home Computer - if you are trying to complete your renewal on a Saskatchewan Health Authority Workstation, you may experience difficulties, due to firewall settings.

Temporarily enable ‘pop ups’ - this renewal site uses ‘pop ups’ and will be required to proceed through the renewal form.

Physician Licensure Renewal - NOW OPEN

We ask that you complete your Annual Licensure renewal on or before November 1, 2021, to ensure our Renewal Team at CPSS has adequate time to review and approve your licence before it expires on November 30, 2021.

If you submit your renewal after November 30, 2021, you will be subject to a late registration fee of $450 and be at risk for experiencing an interruption to your practice privileges and/or billing.

To begin your renewal, please refer to the email you should have received from cpssreg-renew@cps.sk.ca on October 7, 2021.  This email will include your username and a link to access the renewal site. It will also include a link to reset your password, if you forgot your password from last year.

The renewal questions remain unchanged from the 2020 Annual Licensure Renewal Form.  However, notes have been added throughout the form to assist with clarifying terms or references.

We expect that a straightforward renewal should take no more than 15 minutes.

To help you with your renewal, we have prepared the following resources for your reference:

Annual Licensure Fee:

The 2022 annual Licensure fee is $1880. This is the sixth consecutive year CPSS has not raised fees and have been able to accommodate inflationary increases through internal efficiencies.

Once you have submitted your renewal successfully, you will be taken to a confirmation page.

You can expect to receive an email from the College with your Licence and Receipt attached within 7-10 business days. However, this can be substantially longer, the longer you delay renewing, due to the high volume of renewals CPSS receives on a daily basis.

If you have any questions about your Physician Licensure Renewal, please call (306) 244-7355 during office hours (8:30am – 4:30pm) or email cpssreg-renew@cps.sk.ca

Medical Corporation Permit Renewal - NOW OPEN

Your medical corporation licensure renewal is to be completed on or before November 15, 2021.

To begin your renewal, please refer to the email you should have received from cpssreg-corp@cps.sk.ca dated October 21, 2021.  This email will include your username and a link to access the renewal site. It will also include a link to reset your password, if you forgot your password from last year.

The Online Corporation Licensure Renewal System has undergone additional improvements since last year, and while the nature of questions has not substantially changed, the questions should appear to be more streamlined. We anticipate most renewals will now take an average of less than 15 minutes to complete.

Your Corporation Permit Fee:

The 2022 fee for the renewal remains $150.00. To avoid the risk of your permit of corporation being revoked and being charged a late fee of $350.00, please take immediate action to complete your renewal upon receiving your email notification.

Once you have submitted your renewal successfully, you will be taken to a confirmation page.

You can expect to receive an email from the College with your Licence and Receipt attached within 7-10 business days. However, this can be substantially longer, the longer you delay renewing.

If you have any questions, please call (306) 244-7355 during office hours (8:30am - 4:30pm), or email cpssreg-corp@cps.sk.ca
