Unprofessional Conduct2/13/20241/13/2026Not Required On February 13, 2024, Dr. Palangi was charged with unprofessional conduct for making unprofessional comments to a patient about their gender identity and for altering a patient’s medical record after being made aware of a College complaint by that patient. On January 13, 2026, the Executive Committee of the College of Physicians and Surgeons has concluded that based on the previous revocation of Dr. Palangi's licence, the prosecution of the two charges laid by the CPSS Council on February 13, 2024, was no longer in the public interest, and therefore directed that no active steps be taken to prosecute the charges. Both charges therefore remain unresolved and their prosecution may be resumed at a future date should it be in the public interest to do so. Charges1622357
