The OPSDT revoked Dr. Al-Khafaji’s licence, imposed a reprimand, required him to reimburse the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario for funding provided to the complainant for counselling, and required him to pay costs. The CPSS Council considered the appropriate penalty pursuant to section 54.01 of The Medical Profession Act, 1981 and revoked Dr. Al-Khafaji’s licence. He will not be eligible to have his licence restored until he has met conditions and three years have elapsed. In addition, the Council imposed a reprimand and ordered the payment of costs in the amount of $1,410.00.
