OAT Standards and Guidelines
The Council of the College has approved, in principle, amendments to the Guidelines and Standards for providing Opioid Agonist Therapy. The changes are as a result of the College’s experience in dealing with Opioid Agonist Therapy and the physicians who provide it. There are also significant concerns for public health arising from the use of illicit opioids.
The Council would like to hear from you! The College has sent a consultation request directly to physicians who have been approved to provide Opioid Agonist Therapy and to organizations with an interest. This consultation is open to physicians and members of the public.

The Council anticipates
that it will consider feedback from stakeholders at its meeting in January 2022.

How to Respond
In order for the College to consider feedback and correlate feedback for the Council in time for the next Council meeting, all feedback should be provided to the College no later than December 2, 2021.
